Bamenda-Northwest: Police man dead and several civilians wounded after exchange of gunfire

Reports from Bamenda say, a police man has been killed and several civilians wounded. This occurred between Saturday and Sunday at night.


As Cameroon-info:net reports, unknown individuals who were on a bike at food market that night, targeted and shot a policeman whom they saw as they rode past.

Still that same evening, there was exchange of gunshots at the Meta quarter between armed officers and civilians. This gun firing resulted in several casualties. Several Southern Cameroonians were wounded, info.net reports.

The English speaking parts of Cameroon, have recently been characterized by confrontations between the military and the inhabitants of these Regions, leaving some of the military officers as well as civilians either wounded or dead.
