2018 world cup: Indomitable Lions miss 8.4 billion FCFA after dropping out

The indomitable Lions will not benefit from the sum of 8.4 billion Fcfa, which they would have been offered if they qualified for the upcoming Russian world cup.

It is worth noting that, FIFA will disburse the sum of 450 million Euros for the 32 teams that will qualify for the upcoming world cup, cameroon-info.net reports citing Le Jour's 13 November edition.

Cameroon fails to participate in the World cup for the third time since they first partook in the world tournament in 1982. They missed 1986, 2006 and will this time around act as spectators in the 2018 edition.

After an evaluation by the Cameroon football federation, the Lions will miss out on so much, coupled with the 8.4 billion, as they miss the 21st world cup. They will lose sponsors who could come and develope the team and even Cameroon as a whole.
