Kalkaba Mamboum swears to unmask the Iscariot behind his disqualification

The beleaguered President of the Cameroon Olympic Committee, Colonel Kalkaba Malboum, has sworn to unmask the Judas Iscariots behind his disqualification for the presidential race of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).

The Colonel was expelled from the elections after reports went viral that he was attempting to use money to bribe delegates to vote for him.

The Cameroon Olympic Committee President’s confidential letter to the Cameroon Government leaked ahead of ANOCA General Assembly in Djibouti.

In the leaked letter, Kalkaba Malboum demanded a circa FCFA 170 million to be used in his campaign.

The amount was broken down as follows; FCFA 67,432,000 for voters from West Africa, FCFA 32,207,000 for Southern Africa, FCFA 12,562,000 from North Africa, FCFA 20,320,000 for the ANOCA General Assembly  and FCFA 25,200,000 for the  Federation of Commonwealth Africa.

Kalkaba Malboum’s disqualification has given the incumbent ANOCA President, Lassana Palenfo, the leeway to run for the election unchallenged.

Reacting to the leaked correspondence, Kalkaba Malboum asserted; “the document describes my campaign and those I intended to undertake in future… It is actually my whole campaign strategy, a confidential document where I explained to the authorities, as a citizen, my views and ideas on how the campaign was going. Obviously, the fact that someone is in possession of a document not addressed to him is an offense in itself, a breach of the secrecy of correspondence,” he said.

“If I am suspected of unethical intentions, it is because of an unethical action. It also shows a premeditated prejudice to bar me from participating in the elections. On the basis of the contents of this strictly confidential and illegally obtained report, the Executive Committee has decided, to suspend me from all activities of the Olympic Movement in the continent;” averred.

The Colonel vowed to fish out those behind the conspiracy.
