Cameroon: Lions's head coach publish list of 23 players to face Nigeria

Cameroon's national football team coach, Hugo Brood has published a list of 23 man squad for the crucial world cup qualifying game against Nigeria early September. The Belgian technician revealed his list this Friday 24 of August 2017 in a press briefing at the Yaoundé mont febe hotel.

The list consist of mostly  house hold names and some old players who are making their come back to the team after a while. This include Fabrice Olinga, Yaya Banana, one of lions' former deputy captain, Choupo Mounting, and other new faces.

The biggest worry of all is the absence of Cameroon's fire brand attackers in Europe at the moment, Clinton Njie who is injured and will be out of play for 2 or 3 weeks. More to that, Toko Ekambi who another brilliant attker has been  sidelined due to an injury  which will keep him off the stadium for 3 days.

The team begins meeting on Sunday and all the players are expected to be present by Monday August 28  2017. The squad will fine tune its  strategies in a block training for two days before taking off for Nigeria on Thursday evening where they will log horns with the super eagles on Friday 1st of September.

The return leg game will take place on Monday 4th in Cameroon. This encounter is a decisive one for the indomitable lions who must beat Nigeria in both matches if they hope to pick a ticket for Russia 2018 world cup.
