Cameroon rugby federation suspended

Cameroon Rugby Federation has been suspended by Africa Rugby Federation and World Rugby, according to media reports.

The suspension was hammered on Tuesday night.

This comes after a prolonged row within the executive department of the federation.

The vice-president and the secretary general are reportedly at loggerheads.

CRTV reports that the vice-president has accused the secretary of causing chaos within the federation. On the other hand, the secretary blames the vice president for what he calls mismanagement within the structure.

The vice president had been running the federation while the president was away.

Sports bodies in Cameroon are used to controversy.

Recently the football managing body FECAFOOT was at the heart of a power tussle which prompted international intervention.
