No footballer in the country starts a new season without setting his sights on playing the finals of the Cameroon Cup. Reasons been that all want to shake hands with the number one sports man of the country H.E Paul Biya, President of the Republic on the day of the grand finale. While others struggle to reach this level, there's one person who has created a record of shaking hands with the Head of State. He is called Serge Ngayawou.
He will be appearing in his fifth Cup finals this year with Bamboutos of Mbouda. With Union of Douala and Panthere Sportive of Nde in 2006 and 2009 respectively, Serge Ngayawou won the converted trophy.
Unfortunately, Serge Ngayawou, in 2014 and 2015 still with Panthere Sportive of Nde missed out on the trophy. For now, there's no player who has attained the level of Serge Ngayawou, current team Captain for Bamboutos who's hoping to have a memorable final and Serge Ngayawou doesn't hope to end there as he is determined to make a sixth appearance in the Cameroon Cup.
For a reminder, Bamboutos created sensation at the semifinals by eliminating Giant club Coton Sports of Garoua on aggregate 1-0 and will confront APEJES of Mfou in the 2016 Cameroon Cup finals.
