The 2017 season of the MTN Elite one championship, ended on Sunday 1st October with Eding sport emerging this year’s title holders.
Day 34 matches of the championship were played in stadia across the country on Sunday. Eding played against UMS of Loum and were beaten 2-1 even though that did not stop them from finishing as title holders.
This is the first time the Lekie team has reached this stage of the competition since its creation six years ago in 2011.
Just a few years after its creation, they will be representing the country in the next edition of the CAF Champions league.
On the classification table, Eding is followed by Cotton sport and Apejes, while Young Sport finished on the 8 spot, in spite of the promising performance they had in the competition.
The relegation Zone is composed of Racing of Bafoussam, Lion Blesse and the famous Canon of Yaounde.
