Samuel Eto'o says news of him opening a private tv sports channel in Cameroon are false

Samuel Eto'o has refuted news that he plans to launch a private television channel dedicated to sports in Cameroon. In a statement released on Friday the Cameroon football super star denied information that came out in mid-July 2015 that he was going to set up the first television channel devoted entirely to sports. Some media houses which were cited by Cameroon Concord went further by stating that the material for the launch of this channel was available at the port in Douala and that only matters of customs-related procedures were further delaying the establishment of the first sports TV channel in Cameroon.

The Friday, July 31, 2015 Samuel Eto'o statement noted that "Following numerous rumors about the imminent launch of an imaginary SET sports television network, which have unfortunately been reported by the media, I am informing the national and international opinion that I have never intended to set up a TV channel. It is more or less fabrications coming from certain individual authors"
