Bamenda: Reports of heavy looting and racketeering after the military swop

Reports and complaints about heavy looting and racketeering keep streaming in after the military swop across Bamenda yesterday. The wailing and gnashing of teeth continued this morning after the Heavy military assault on the civilian Population under the guise that they were Vindicating the killing of their colleague By an unknown assailant or assailants Thousands of civilians carrying out their routine business transactions around the Commercial Avenue, Food Market and Hospital Round About were caught up in that web of state gangsters and armed robbers.

Hundreds of millions were carted away by these state thieves who robbed at gun point yesterday for about three hours. The saddest thing is that amongst them are Chadian, Gabonese and Congolese mercenaries hired in by the Biya's regime. What is the role of the security cameras That were planted across the city of Bamenda when they couldn't provide Vivid images of the perpetrators of crimes So that these hoodlums could be apprehended for grilling and eventual imprisonment for their undisputed crimes. The soldiers are not properly fed or managed since the declaration of this war against the people of Southern Cameroon's by Biya and his French cohorts.

This action resulted in the closing down of business premises by business operators whom were latter by 2:00 pm were solicited by the Governor and the Senior Divisional Officer for Mezam, to reopen, for commercial activities to resume. Business only resumed today timidly as the fears and trauma of yesterday could still be seen in the faces of those who were robbed, beaten into pulp and wounded.
