This is the official residence of Felix Antoine Samba,a cousin to Cameroon's firstlady, Chantal Biya. Felix Antoine Samba is a Cameroonian civil servant who builds a castle worthy of the same level as the Sultan of Brunei. This castle is situated in Nyom, at the West exit of Yaounde, capital of Cameroon.
Felix Antoine Samba was Director-General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance of the State of Cameroon until early March 2017.He was promoted from that position to the admirable juicy post of Inspector General of the Budget and Administrative Services in the same Ministry. He had served as Director-General of Budget for barely over two years during which period he was able to embark on this construction.
The current minister of Finance, who had been forced to ironically work for him, had on several instances threatened to resign because of his co-worker's insubordination.
The big question that baffles all is, who protects such a character who keeps getting promotion amid such corruption and intimidation scandals?
How could a civil servant afford such a mammoth castle in a poverty stricken country with huge debts like Cameroon?. WHERE IS CONAC FOR GOD'S SAKE?
How can a gentleman who is not known to be the heir of a great fortune show such ostentation without the immediate interest of an institution which claims to be fighting against corrupt government officials? In Nigeria, last week, an anti-money laundering and economic crime organization confiscated a package of currencies estimated at some $ 50 million and presumed to be owned by the former CEO of Nigeria's national oil company (NNPC), meanwhile in neighbouring Cameroon, a deaf ear is given to certain individuals.
