Samuel Eto'o 'set to challenge Paul Biya in 2018'

It's rumoured that football legend Samuel Eto'o is set to challenge Paul Biya during the 2018 presidential election in Cameroon.
Afri Pulse reports that Eto'o made the declaration on the timeline of a certain Georges Weah.
The same news site quotes Malitribune as saying that Samuel Eto'o had disclosed during a recent media outing that he had always wanted to do politics  but had been waiting for the right moment...
Cameroon is set to organize general elections next year.
President Biya is seeking reelection after over three decades in office.


There are no independent confirmations from Samuel Eto'o yet.
Samuel Eto'o is one of the best players in the history of African football.
He has won the  African Best Player of the Year Award four times.
He is the top scorer in the history of football in Cameroon.
He captained the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon for a few years.
But his leadership encountered a lot of obstacles which led partly to his resignation in 2014.
He led his country to 2014 FIFA World Cup  in Brazil, from which they brought home just one goal and three defeats.
