Over the last two years, hits on our articles have been climbing, we have had an increase in clicks and also a broader reading audience on our social media channels.Our readers have been writing to us requestion for news updates from Cameroon/Southern Cameroons. Human rights lawyer Barrister Agbor Balla has urged the international community to isolate Cameroon as the violence in the two English-speaking regions gets worse and worse every single day.

The plea was made on Monday in Dakar as he attended the release of Amnesty International’s new report on human rights violations in the South West and North West regions of Cameroon.

The latest report on the fighting in Anglophone Cameroon has accused government forces and Ambazonian separatist fighters of human rights violations.

The report released on Monday was produced with interviews from more than 150 victims and eye-witnesses including satellite images, we have understood.

The rights group says security forces have indiscriminately killed, arrested and tortured people during military operation which have also displaced thousands.

Three opposition parties in Cameroon could be on their way to form a coalition group ahead of the upcoming presidential election that could see 86-year-old President Paul Biya win another seven-year term.

Commissioner Tazisong Christopher of the 3rd District Police Station in Muea in the Fako Division of the South West region was taken hostage by unidentified men on Sunday.

According to media reports, he was kidnapped beside a bar by some men on motorcycles at about 3pm at Mile 6 Buea.

Eleven persons including five suspected Boko Haram militants are reported dead in an attack in the Far North region. It happened on Thursday night breaking Friday in the locality of Djalingo, JournalduCameroon.com has reported.

Two GCE subjects to be retaken

The Registrar of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board has instructed students to retake two A/L subjects. Literature Paper 3 and Geography Paper 3 will be written again. The board claims that there were problems with the questions of some subjects.
