Anglophone crisis: Gendarme officers start firing in air in North West

Gendarme officers in Bambalang in Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region have fired at least fire shoots in the air. The shoots went off on Saturday as a desperate attempt to intimidate the people as they prepare for Sunday's celebrations of the independence of Ambazonia.

Six more officers have been deployed in the village, bringing the number up to nine.
The people of Bambalang staged a protest against gendarme officers and tax collectors on Thursday, refusing to pay their weekly undefined taxes.
