Anglophone Struggle: Southwest Governor takes stringent measures

The governor of the South West region of Cameroon has taken a series of tough measures to 'ensure security' in the region, especially following the recent wave of killings of security officers in Southern Cameroons.

The measures are outlined in a communiqué issued on Friday.

The communiqué is very tough on the fabrication, sales and used of firearms. The use of guns for hunting and at traditional ceremonies has been prohibited.
Commercial motorbikes are banned from operating from 7pm to 6am. 
Traditional leaders and quarter heads are expected to provide reports on any strange person who is not a permanent resident of their area.
