Editorial: Why I am convinced that the Brigade d'Intervention Rapide (BIR) torched Sacred Heart College
Dr Nfor N. Susungi, A Southern Cameroon Patriarch And A SHESAN Gives His Opinion On The Fire Incident At SAHECO.
If a theft or arson takes place at night the prime suspect against whom an arrest warrant must be issued by any prosecutor is the night watchman. Under Common law he will still benefit from the presumption of innocence. But under Civil law, he is presumed guilty until proven innocent.
In the bizarre case of the torching of my Alma Mater Sacred Heart College which I attended from 1963-78, I know the geography of the campus quite well even after more than 50 years. The only New element is the presence of nearly 100-200 soldiers who are based at the airport in Ntahmbeng near the Fon of Mankon's palace. Pictures are wonderful things because you can see the long line of soldiers who invaded sacred heart college.
These soldiers invaded the campus under instructions from their commanding officer, with the obvious complicity and or consent of the principal. No question about it. Military doctrine requires that when so many soldiers congregate anywhere, standard procedure requires that they must have sentries and night vigil at various strategic locations on a campus as large as Sacred Heart College, if their mission is to secure and protect.
It is moon knowledge that there are vigilante groups which support the Southern Cameroons freedom movement and whose job is to enforce the respect of the Ghost Towns and the school boycotts.
I cannot imagine how the vigilante groups could have planned an operation which would require evading the sentries and night vigil of the BIR and to proceed to torch several buildings on the campus without a single one of them being captured.
Therefore, notwithstanding the legal principle of the presumption of innocence, considering the fact that this brand of soldiers raped young students at the University of Buea in October 2016 and reportedly raped girls at CPC Bali, I must conclude that the torching of Sacred Heart College was the work of the BIR, based on the principle that they had the motive, the means and the opportunity to commit the crime. The only other group of people on the scene of the crime were the students, all aged 12-17 whom we must eliminate from the list of suspects.
The conclusion is that BIR is the criminal gang between the rape and torture of young Anglophone girls and that their criminal activity has now escalated into arson.
Parents are still advised to keep their children at home with them until the ruling council gives New instructions because the criminal gang that is terrorising the people of the Southern Cameroons is none other than BIR which deliberately planned the torching of Sacred Heart College as a false flag operation hoping to use it to discredit the Southern Cameroons independence movement. The only rapid intervention that the BIR can be credited with is that they are the ones who used their phone cameras to to take pictures of the smoldering fires in order to send back to the commanditaires as proof that their instructions had been carried out.
But it failed because it was in actual fact an act of terrorism by BIR itself which can only strengthen the determination to proceed with the plans for 1st October 2017.
