In a somber announcement on the X handle of Dr. Ayaba Cho, leader of the Ambazonia Defence Forces (ADF), the death of General Effang has been confirmed. The General, who had been captured by government forces at Mbingo hospital while receiving treatment for wounds sustained in a fierce battle with Cameroon government forces, was reportedly subjected to severe torture before his tragic demise.

Dr. Ayaba Cho, expressing grief and defiance, stated, "At 12.00 today, I notified the executive of the AGOVC of the death of the Supreme General of the Ambazonia Defence Forces. General Effang was subjected to severe torture before being murdered. He died a defiant Ambazonian who refused to succumb to the brutality of the enemy."

General Effang's death marks a significant loss for Ambazonia, with Dr. Ayaba Cho recognizing him as "Ambazonia's finest Nationalist" and "its greatest advocate grounded in Nationalist ideology." The ADF leader also extended gratitude to Effang's family, acknowledging their bravery, resilience, and sacrifices under incredibly challenging circumstances.

Addressing those who opposed General Effang, Cho declared, "To all those who have taunted, haunted him, your wishes are now fulfilled. Ambazonia is not for sale. It can neither be sold nor bought; can neither be betrayed nor hijacked. Its destiny is sealed by the blood of the fallen, the jailed, and battered."

Despite the challenges and adversities faced by Ambazonia, Dr. Ayaba Cho emphasized the unyielding spirit of the people and their determination for eventual freedom. He urged everyone to honor General Effang's life with increased dedication and commitment to achieving the desired outcome.
