Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

Some three thousand Nigerian refugees who ran away from Boko Haram exaction in North East Nigeria and sought refuge in Cameroon have decided to voluntarily return to their country. They are the third group so far to returned to their homes in Nigeria under the escort of the Rapid Intervention Battalion, BIR.

The refugees expressed gratitude to the Cameroon government and its people for their hospitality. Some of them however regret going back to areas where there are still pockets of militants of the terrorist group Boko Haram that forced them to flee to safety earlier. Despite the recent sporadic suicide attacks in Fotokol and in Neighbouring Chad, the refugees are upbeat of their security especially during the journey which will be made under the surveillance of the Cameroon elite force.
