Biya shies away from ceremony honoring fallen soldiers
President Biya will not be participating in the funeral ceremony to be held today in Yaounde in loving memory of Cameroonian soldiers killed by the Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram and those of the Integrated Multi-dimensional UN Mission for the Stabilization of the Central African Republic.
The Cameroonian dictator has again chosen his next-of-kin, Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o, Minister Delegate at the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Defence to represent him at the emotional ceremony.
The pretext of a trip abroad had been advanced by his family and pro CPDM comedians to justify his absence at previous ceremonies organized in honour of fallen Cameroon soldiers. Today’s ceremony will go ahead while President Biya may watch on state television.
