President Biya has signed six decrees today appointing new officials in all state universities in the country. The President of the Republic also appointed officials of the Ministry of Higher Education in Cameroon's diplomatic missions abroad, including South Africa, Germany, Algeria, Belgium, Great Britain, Canada, China, Nigeria, France, Morocco and the United States.

The first decree announced over state radio and television appointed Professor François Etoa as Rector of the University of Douala; Professor Roger Tsafack, Rector of the University of Dschang and Prof Ibrahima Adamou Rector of the University of Yaounde II.
