Cameroon Looses Two Senior Military officers In Helicopter Crash
Two Senior officers of the Cameroonian army were killed this Sunday in a helicopter crash in Bogo, a locality in the Far-North region of Cameroon.
General Jacob Kodji, commander of the 4th Inter-Army Military Region (RMIA) and Colonel Alphonse Kameni, commander of the 4th gendarmerie region, died on Sunday after the helicopter they were traveling in crashed in Bogo, Diamaré.
Their helicopter was returning from a supervision mission on the ground, as part of supervision on the fight against Boko Haram.
The provisional report holds of 4 deaths including two other members of crew. The governor of the Extreme North region rushed to the scene.The circumstances of the crash have not yet been elucidated.
