Cameroon: Soldiers brutalizing scores of residents in Kumbo North West region
New reports of soldiers brutalizing scores of residents in Kumbo, a key opposition town in Northwest Cameroon. Reporters say soldiers have arrested groups of boys without ID cards who were watching football in bars in the Tahmveh neighborhood.
Kumbo has been the only city in Northwest Cameroon fully respecting the sit-at-home peaceful protest ever since teachers called for an "indefinite strike" action across all Anglophone regions.
The town has been a ghost town for a long time now, residents report.
