President Paul Biya declares Monday, October 24 2016, a day of national mourning in Cameroon
President Paul Biya has declared Monday, October 24 2016 ia day of national mourning in Cameroon. The prsidential decree is in honour for the victims of the derailment of the Intercity Train in Esseka-Cameroon yesterday 21, October 2016.
The death Toll had risen to 75 and about 600 people remain in critical conditions as of today, 22, October 2016 Flags will be flown at half mast all day throughout the national territory.
Earlier on, the Head of State had instructed the government to provide full assistance to the survivors, while investigations will be made to determine the cause of the derailment.
