President Thomas Sankara honored on National Armed Forces Day
On the occasion of the 55th anniversary celebration of the National Armed Forces Day, the President of the Burkina Faso transitional council, Michel Kafando has ordered the creation of six military camps-the first in honour and loving memory of the late President Thomas Sankara, former President of the National Revolutionary Council of Burkina Faso (CNR) murdered on October 15, 1987, during the coup that brought to power the disgraced Blaise Compaore.
