Arrest in the Martinez Zogo Case: The Mystery of the Grey Prado Unveiled
In the case surrounding the abduction of Martinez Zogo, new developments have emerged, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the use of a grey Prado vehicle in the operation.
Contrary to previous speculation, it has been revealed that the vehicle involved in the abduction was not a black Prado from the DGRE, but rather a grey Prado rented in Yaoundé from a friend of Justin Danwe.
Military magistrates handling the case discovered that the vehicle used in the abduction had been rented from an individual named Engwelle Étienne. Justin Danwe, implicated in the case, testified before the military tribunal, explaining why he had not informed the vehicle's owner of the purpose of the rental.
Danwe informed the tribunal that he acted to protect Engwelle Étienne, a longtime friend, and also as a matter of principle, as it was customary not to disclose the purpose of the rental when a vehicle was requested for a mission by the service.
Following these revelations, Engwelle Étienne was arrested and incarcerated at the main prison in Kondengui.
These new details shed light on the ongoing case and underscore the importance of cooperation between judicial authorities and witnesses to unravel the mysteries surrounding the tragic events.
