Cameroon: Bilingualism Commission SG Installed

The National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism can now begin its perilous mission with the installation of Dr Cornelius Chi Asafor as the pioneer  Secretary General .

He was installed Thursday June 15 in Yaounde by the President of the Commission, Senator Peter Mafany Musonge with laid down instructions. He is expected amongst other issues to ensure that files are treated on time, ensure a permanent evaluation of the Commission's activities to cover loopholes when they crop up and also feed the President with appropriate information to enable him succeed in his own tasks. A strtegic roadmap has also been adopted . Though critics believe the Commision has nothing to offer.

The President of the Commission specifically told him to coordinate all administrative and technical services of the Commission, a mission which the scribe says he is ready to meet the challenges and ensure the Commission works well.  Though critics believe that the Commission has nothing to offer .

Dr Chi Asafor was appointed by President Paul Biya on April 25, 2017.
