The National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism has been given a push to enable it kickoff hitch free. President Paul Biya has made a 700million FCFA gift to the Musonge Commission which constitutes the starting budget for the 2017-18 Fiscal year.

The Commission chair, Senator Peter Mafany Musonge made the revelation at the end of the 2nd session of the body which held Wednesday June 14 in Yaounde. Members during the meeting drafted the roadmap of the Commission with the internal rules set .

Senator Peter Mafany Musonge was upbeat that the Commission is  on the right track and will do all it can to ensure equality of  Cameroon's two official languages . The Canadian High Commissioner has been brought in to fuse in the Canadian experience into the Musonge led outfit.

Cornelius Chi Asafor, the pioneer Scribe of the body is being installed today in Yaounde.
