Cameroon: It is official, Ni John Fru Ndi won't be participating in the forth coming Presidential Election

The charismatic and emblematic leader of the Social Democratic Front,has bowed out of the race for the 2018 Presidential election. The forth coming elections are scheduled between the 14 th September and 14th October, 2018. At the age of 77,John Fru Ndi leaves the stage as the second political party after the CPDM with a significant number of parliamentary seats in Parliament.

Quitting the scene when the applause is still loud sounding and clear is better than being forced out through the back door.

The candidates to vie for his replacement have over sized shoes to fit into and how the weather the political storm sweeping across Cameroon is a wait and see.

The trio to be voted during the Social Democratic Front Elective Convention come the 22 and 23 of February, 2018 are Joshua Osih, Joseph Mbah Ndam and Fobi Simon Nchinda.

John Fru Ndi had been the Presidential Candidate from 1992 - 2011.

Within the Social Democratic Front, it's been very difficult or a near impossibility for the much younger generation to defeat him in the race of the Party's Presidential hopeful.
