Cameroon: US Embassy Warnings To Biya Finally Manifest 29 Years After
The September 22 mass demonstration, which has aptly been described as the Ambazonian Spring that swept across major towns in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon was not a happenstance to officials of the United State Embassy in Cameroon.
In fact, the outburst by the population was a manifestation of a 29-year-old warning which the US Embassy had issued to President Paul Biya and his flunkeys.
In February 1986, the American Intelligence through the US Embassy warned President Paul Biya that such a day like Friday, September 22, 2017, was eminent, if his regime does not refrain from it deliberate cultural erosion and the subtle assimilation of the Anglophones.
The US Embassy warned Biya Central Government never to tamper with the cultural and linguistic traditions of the former Southern Cameroons or hell will break loose.
The US Embassy had warned that if Biya continue with his plutocracy, the 20 percent Southern Cameroonians will only see armed confrontations as a means of liberating themselves from the yoke of Biyaism and Betism.
Thus, the September 22 events in the English-speaking Regions of Cameroon was just a reminder to the Biya regime of what the then US Ambassador to Cameroon, Myles Robert Rene Frechettea, had told him.
