Historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signed Between North West Regional Assembly and University of Bamenda

In a historic collaboration, the North West Regional Assembly and the University of Bamenda in Cameroon have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly work towards rebranding the region. The signing ceremony took place on January 18, 2023, at the auditorium of the Regional Assembly.

1. Enhancing Quality Human Resource: The MoU aims to enhance the proper training of high-quality human resources to drive research, innovation, and sustainable development in the North West Region and the nation at large.

2. Decentralization and Sustainable Development: The collaboration is expected to foster decentralization and sustainable development by promoting the entrepreneurial University concept. The University of Bamenda is envisioned as a leading national institution of higher learning contributing to present and future development challenges through effective teaching, research, and innovation.

3. Cardinal Focus Areas: The MoU focuses on training quality human resources, enhancing internship programs, internship placement of students, and their insertion and integration into the political milieu, along with promoting employability.
