Cameroon: Journalist to Challenge Fru Ndi for SDF National Stool
Felix Teche Nyamusa has made known his intention to challenge long serving chairman, John Fru Ndi for the National Presidency of the country's opposition party, the SDF in October's highly anticipated convention .
Teche made his ambitions known recently in Bamenda . The practicing journalist aims to be the candidate to face President Paul Biya in the 2018 elections. We learnt he has paid the sum of 100.000FCFA as the required caution for the contest.
Asked why Teche is bent on taking over the SDF leadership, he says John Fru Ndihas done alot for the party but needs to go on rest and give room for a new impetus in the party. To him, the time Fru Ndi was useful to the pary is over .
He has recently released a book where he has outline his vision for the party in case he wins the National chairmanship. His candidacy is the lone one registered at the party secretariat.
It still remains unclear whether the incumbet who has been the flag bearer of the party since 1992 will stand again for re-election.
