Massive Arrest Of Opposition Leaders Today In Yaounde

Reports reaching us from Cameroonian blogger SOLOMON AMABO is that Kah Walla and militants of the Movement for Cameroon's Renaissance, MRC, were picked up April 8, 2016 as they staged a protest demonstration to halt rumored clandestine plans for  the modification of the constitution and to demand the provision of water and electricity.

A statement from CPP Secretariat said she was arrested at the GMI office in Tshinga where she went to inquire about the arrest earlier of scores of demonstrators. 

The reasons for her arrest  are not known. At the time of filing in this report, Kah Walla and those arrested have been transferred to the judicial police station where sources say they have been charged with inciting 'insurrection and  rebellion'

It is reported that Yaounde authorities tried to halt todays demonstrations in vain.
