The Apostolic Nuncio and the National Assembly President Discuss Decades of Enduring Friendship

National Assembly, Apostolic Nuncio Meets with the Speaker. His Excellency, Monsignor José AVELINO BETTENCOURT, the Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, was granted an audience with the Most Honorable President of the National Assembly on January 26, 2024, at his office located in the headquarters.

Approximately thirty minutes were dedicated to profound discussions between the Most Honorable CAVAYE YEGUIE Djibril and his distinguished guest, focusing on the enduring bonds of friendship between the Holy See and Yaoundé. The conversation also delved into the upcoming celebrations of fifty (50) fruitful years in 2025 and sixty (60) years in 2026 of the prosperous relationship between the Vatican and Cameroon. Following this meeting, the Apostolic Nuncio conveyed his gratitude and expressed feelings of joy and pride towards the President of the August Chamber.
