The year 2018 is an elective year in Cameroon

The state of Cameroon remains one of the most closed states in Africa and the world. Other countries have their electoral calendars published in advance, that of Cameroon is the President's joker and they are announced by presidential decree. It's only in Cameroon that elections for Senators is to be organized lopsidedly before that of the municipal councillors whose mandate has equally expired. Besides the senatorial election, the other elections pending are the municipal elections and the Presidential elections. The constitutional Council that was created on the 7th of February 2018 shall have the mandate to supervise, co-conduct the elections with Elecam and then do the proclamation of the results of all subsequent elections in Cameroon.
