AFCON Updates: Cameroon Lions set for match against hosts Gabon
Cameroon-Gabon, the third and last match in Group A to be played at the Stade de l’Amitie Sino-Gabonaise this evening promises to be risky.
First, because if Cameroon wins Gabon is out of the competition and there is likely to be chaos in town, an opportunity for the Gabonese to molest Cameroonians in Gabon.
Second, a draw may not also work well for Gabon who may still need points to progress if Guinea or Burkina Faso should win.
Many Gabonese who did not show up in the stadium in the opening match are eager to go to the stadium to see the Panthers of Gabon beat the Indomitable Lions.
The rivalry between these two countries is long standing and manifests itself mostly during football matches. This evening one or two of the countries would qualify for the quarter finals.
