Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

The Belgian born football tactician, who last week contemplated living the Lion’s den, has early this week during the extraordinary meeting summoned by the President of FECAFOOT Tombi A Roko against the backdrop of the recent scandal plaguing the national team, has pleaded not to be kicked out. Critics say it is because of his recent misfortune with Ghana that he wants to remain with the lions.

“After two countries solicited for Hugo, I think he felt his was on top of the world and was sure to sign a better contract elsewhere. He seemingly used the situation in Belgium to justify his eventual departure. But when he was rejected by his last hope Ghana, he had to apologize to Cameroonians so as to have his job back” says a football critic.

Hugo Broos regrets exaggerating the Brussels’ scandal but denies the fact that he has been looking for food elsewhere.

"I would like to apologize for exaggeration. I have certainly humiliated the Cameroonian people. There is no reason for me to leave Cameroon. Forget about my departure or resignation, and don't listen to rumours that I am in negotiations with other federations. The Fecafoot president and I had already discussed of a prolongation” says Hugo Broos.

Many say the damage caused by the football guru on the image of Cameroon is enormous; some say it is almost irreparable and necessitates some form of punishment in order to tame the tongue of the 64 year old Belgian.
