With the new league one football season expected to start in December, clubs in the championship are warming up to get a better performance. Union Sportive of Douala is one of those clubs, the club of Franck Happi had nursed hopes of participating in CAF organised competitions at the end of the season but unfortunately they failed. 

Time good enough for the Douala outfit to get set for the new season. To this effect, the club with a thousands supporters has signed its third player. He is Clarence Bitang. The 24-year old offensive midfielder who had once played with Union in 2013 is returning to a house he knows so well after having a fairly good season with Agrostikos Asteras in Greece. He becomes the third signing for Union after the arrival of Ntebeu and central defender Ngweni Ndassi. Clarence Bitang has played with the Junior and Intermediate National teams
