Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

The Cameroon men's National footbal team, will be playing today afternoon against the first division team from Douala, a friendly match which serves as preparation for the upcoming Confederations cup in Russia 2018.

It will be at the millitary stadium in Yaounde. The home-based club has to measure up to the standards of the African champions.

This encounter follows the trainning which Hugo Broos and his men had on Monday 29, and some physical fitness exercises on the 31 May.

Initially, this encounter was not foreseen, as only two matches had been scheduled in preparation for Russia, the 2019 Afcon eliminatory match against Morocco, and a friendly against Colombia.

On the 10 of June, the Lions will face Morocco at home in Yaounde. This one concerns principally the AFCON 2019 to be hosted by Cameroon, but it shall equally serve as a preparatory match for Russia 2018.

On the other hand, the indomitable lions will be pitted against Colombia in Spain on the 13 June. It's a friendly battle, that will usher Hugo and his boys to the 2018 Conferderations cup, which is to run from 17 June- 02 July.

Colombia reignites memories from some 14 years ago in 2003, when Cameroon lastly took part in the Confederations communion. Rigobert's team by then, beat Colombia at the Semi-finals after losing their team mate, Marc-Vivien Foe on the pitch. They went on to the finals but lost to France.
