More than a dozen people were killed in the night of Tuesday, several others abducted and houses burned in the town of Tchakarmari in the Far North region of Cameroon by fighters of the Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram. Cameroon Concord's military informant who confirmed the news late last night added that more than a hundred others remain unaccounted for following a deadly raid attributed to suspected Boko Haram militants.Tchakamari is a town located in the Mayo-Sava Division in the  Far North region. 

Cameroon military sources also revealed that 11-members of the neighborhood watch committee were killed by the Boko Haram militia. A Cameroon army source who sued for anonymity hinted that "110 people are still not found, dozens of houses and shops were burned and looted." The CPDM government has not yet confirmed the attack and  at his press conference on Tuesday on the security situation of the country, Issa Bakary Tchiroma did not address the Tchakamari incident.
