More than fifty people have now been named by the judicial police investigation that started on May the 6th, 2009 relating to the Gervais Mendo Ze/CRTV Affair. The commission has made it public that some highly placed government officials are implicated in the financial scandal that rocked the Cameroon Radio and Television. Minister Jacques Fame Ndongo and former Minister of Labour, Robert Nkili are among the new names mentioned in the judicial police report. Cameroon Concord learned some have died and others are without addresses. The list also includes names of expatriates who benefited premiums and special postmarks.

Correspondingly, General Benoit Asso'o Emane, former Commander of the first military legion in Yaounde and former Minister of National Education, Joseph Mboui including Hon. Mvondo Meba, a nephew of President Biya were also cited in the document. The report of the judicial police, shows in detail that former Minister of Communication (MINCOM) and External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, jointly and severally with his predecessor at MINCOM, Jacques Fame Ndongo, are likely to be charged with laxity having facilitated the misappropriation of public funds.

As Chairman of the Board of Directors of CRTV, which by extrapolation is the Minister of Communication, CRTV provides numerous benefits. For instance, three servants, a security officer, two drivers, a Secretary and a mission planner known as Chargé de mission. The Board Chairman also receives a monthly allowance of 3,000,000 CFA FRANCS representing function benefits, maintenance of the vehicle and housing, production premium, staffing, communication credit and fuel. The Chairman also banks an attendance fees of 1 400 000 FCFA per session of the Governing Council.
