The death has been announced of Yannick Lontsi Yemeli, 27, many times lap winner of Grand Prix Chantal Biya.The Cyclist died shortly after suffering from anThe race organized by the Cameroon Cycling Federation started as early as 7am Saturday, May 28 2016.And with just two more lapses, Yannick Lontsi Yemeli was victim of an accident following confusion that set the cyclists after a crowd entered the line of competition, as Captain FOUDA, in charge of security was about to free the line, the cyclist crashed together ,some sustained minor injuries while Yannick Lontsi Yemeli hit his head on the ground.

The 27 year old was taken to the Central hospital in Yaoundé where he later died Sunday Morning. This is the fourth sport man to die in one month, first was indomitable lion Patrick EKENG EKENG, female footballer Jeannie Christelle DJOMPNANG of Femina Stars and former player and football administrator David MAYIBE.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winning penalty in a shootout to give Real Madrid victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final which finished 1-1 after extra time on Saturday.

Ronaldo sent Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak the wrong way from the penalty spot, sealing a 5-3 shootout win, then stripped off his shirt to celebrate with Madrid fans behind the goal.

Ronaldo's spot-kick was decisive after Atletico defender Juanfran struck the post with his team's fourth kick.

Atletico was left with bitter memories of its third loss in a European Cup or Champions League final.

Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane became just the seventh man to both coach and play for European champion teams.

Just like the 2014 final, a Madrid derby finished 1-1 after 90 minutes. This time, it was Real Madrid instead of Atletico in the role of long-time leader giving up a late equalizer.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, who struck in stoppage time two years ago, showed a forward's hunger to score in the 15t by forcing the ball past Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak from close range.

Atletico's defense had fair warning of Real Madrid's threat, and its own weakness on the night, from free kicks as early as the sixth minute.

The private jet of Samuel Eto’o Fils was denied permission to fly out of Port Harcourt moments after the Cameroon super star  featured in a testimonial for former Nigeria National Team player Joseph Yobo.

It remains unclear what actually happened, but the four-time African Player of the Year wanted to leave immediately after the game at the Adokiye Amasiemaka Stadium, but his plane was prevented from leaving by the Nigerian airport authorities.

“Eto’o wanted to leave immediately after the match but his plane was not allowed to leave,” a source informed reporters.

“I’m not sure what exactly happened, but I was told the plane didn’t have permission to land in the first place but it looks like it has been sorted.”

Former Chelsea and Barcelona star Eto’o, along with several other international football stars – both retired and active – were in Port Harcourt for the Yobo testimonial.

Jose Mourinho has spoken of the 'special honour' to manage Manchester United after being confirmed as their new manager on a four-year contract with the option to cut ties after three years.
