After signing an accord with some mayors towards the posing of the green turf on certain stadiums across the country, the Cameroon football federation moved another step further yesterday by signing a convention with the National School of Magistracy and Administration, ENAM. The accord is aimed at training footballers and officials on ethical, republican and Olympic values. Speaking during the signing ceremony yesterday at the Mont Febe hotel in Yaounde, the president of Fecafoot, Tombi A Roko said the training was warranted by the indiscipline which has been prevailing within the senior national football selection for some time.
He cited the repeated failures of the Indomitable Lions at the World Cups in Spain 1982, South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014 as a result of indiscipline with the hallmark being the refusal of the Lions to receive the national flag during the send off match for the World Cup in Brazil. He said victory during the 2016 feminine AFCON and 2019 AFCON will come through discipline and patriotism. The Director General of ENAM, Linus Toussaint Mendjana disclosed that idea of the convention was the brain child of the president of Fecafoot and himself saying the ambition of ENAM is to train not only the players but also the officials of Fecafoot on notions such as strategies of communication, the drawing up of a budget, auditing, accounting, administrative writing and a host of other issues.
He disclosed that the lessons will be tailored according to the target group and according to the availability of the players beginning with the intermediate selection currently in camp to prepare for the upcoming African nations championship to take place in Rwanda. Prominent among those present during the signing ceremony which was interspersed by musical interludes from the ENAM orchestra were the representatives of the Minister of Public Works, the representative of the National Olympic and Sports Committee and the mayor of Meyomessala, who was guest of honour.

In what has been described by the media as a new twist in the FECAFOOT crises, John B. Ndeh, a former vice president of the Cameroon Football Federation aka FECAFOOT has started a legal battle with the nation's national daily, Cameroon Tribune claiming he did not validate the FECAFOOT elections that brought Tombi A Roko to office as reported by the state owned newspaper and read over Cameroon radio and television. Said JB Ndeh, “Such was not the interview I granted Cameroon Tribune on November 20, 2015 in writing”.
Mr. J.B. Ndeh recently observed that because of the damage he has suffered owing to the fabricated interview by Cameroon Tribune, “I have contacted the judiciary so that those responsible for this gross manipulation and their accomplices can be exposed and made to pay a heavy price.”
Some reports have suggested that Minister Atanga Nji {acting on personal interest] contacted J.B. Ndeh and sounded a note of caution that if he does not accept the government's decision to validate the election which put Tombi A Roko at the helm of the FA, he shall be thoroughly investigated at MIDENO where he [Ndeh] has been the boss for nearly 20 years. The former FECAFOOT VP insisted he was “wrongly quoted” in the purported interview.

The only thing sure about them is that they are on the site but December festivities are coming and the rains will set in by mid next year to constitute other handicaps to the speedy execution hurry in their work”, the Governor told the engineers as he went round the work sites in Limbe. However, the enterprises have eight months to do their work until June next year. The BUNS Company contracted to construct the access road to the Limbe stadium complained of the distance from where they have to bring laterite. For the training stadiums in Middle Farms and the Centenary Stadium in Limbe, the Chinese contracted to do the work reassured the Governor that all will be fine except for difficulties concerning electricity supply for which they need a three-phased metre. They arrived in Cameroon only two weeks ago and have begun installing their equipment on the work site. The Governor who had earlier visited the works some two weeks ago was not impressed with progress made so far. But the control mission, Didon Consult, assured the Governor all will be fine.

A three day football training camp has ended at the Bamenda Municipal Stadium on November 22, 2015. Organized by a Swedish NGO, TIKITAKA and a Cameroonian concern, World of Champions [WOC] based in Bamenda, the exercise brought together some 150 pupils from 8 primary schools and 10 coaches from the municipality. While declaring the camp open, Mr. Njah William, sitting in for the Regional Delegate of Youth and Physical Education lauded the initiative noting that it was in line with government effort to promote sports in the country.
He encouraged the participants to take the exercise serious as it may be a step towards greatness. Njah William finally appealed to the organizers to consider the venture during the long vacation for maximum participation as children love playing. For his part, Borge Gustavsson, officials revealed that the football camp, the first of its kind in Cameroon was to ensure that talents in every child are developed full length and wished that some of the youths in camp will be part of the Cameroon National Football selection come the 2022 FIFA world cup.
