Cameroon army chief visits troops in the Far North region
Cameroon’s Chief of Army Staff , General Rene Claude Meka has completed an inspection tour of all military installations in the Far North region of the country. The visit took him to the Mora and Maltam Maga localities. General Meka was accompanied by senior Cameroon military officials including General Baba Soule, Brigadier General Mahamat Ahmed Kotoko, Brigadier General Jacob Kodji, commander and General Bouba Dobékréo.
Rene Claude Meka went to the war front to assess the mood of the troops after a series of multiple actions against the Nigerian Islamic sect, Boko Haram. Our military informant hinted that the army boss was visibly pleased with the morale of our troops and was quoted as saying they were determined to battle Boko Haram and send it back to its original constituency. General Meka chaired a medal ceremony in honor of 24 armed personnel of the defense forces engaged in operation Emergence 4.
