Cameroon: Bafoussam, Governor dismisses rumours of fire at the airport
A rumour that circulated on Friday in Cameroonian social media circles about an incident at Bafoussam-Bamougoum airport (Western Region), which involved a plane belonging to the National carrier of Cameroon, Camair-co has been dismissed by the Governor of that region.
The rumour claimed that the was the presence of a car in flames at the airport at the time of landing of flight QC272, a Camair-co flight from Douala.
According Awa Fonka Augustine, the governor of the western region,the said flight from Douala to Bafoussam, took a deviation to Yaounde, due to bad weather conditions a result of heavy rains which struck on the night of October 20 until the early hours of yesterday, 21. October 2016, in Bafoussam.
