Cameroon strengthens airport security
Airports are increasing becoming targets for terrorist groups worldwide thereby forcing countries to step up security in these strategic areas. Correspondingly, Cameroon civil aviation authorities have been on the offensive to ensure that airport facilities are not accessible to terrorists.
The director general of CCA indicated that the security strategy has been revised for Cameroon's international and secondary airport that will soon go operational. He was speaking in Yaounde while installing newly promoted officials to implement the strategy. 22 personnel at the civil aviation authority have been commissioned into their news offices with a task of translating government's policy into action.
The new directors say they are ready for business. As the air transport sector fights to ensure that airports are no go zones for unwanted guests, top officials of the civil aviation authority have instructed the newly installed to be relentless in their missions.
