Ex Finance Minister Abah Abah Polycarpe may spend the rest of his life in jail!!!!
The legal problems of former Finance Minister Abah Abah Polycarpe are to use a German description “ohne ende” even with the recent sentencing to 25 years in prison in a case of misappropriation of public funds. The former Cameroonian Minister will face another charge for misappropriation of state funds. He was summoned again on February 18, 2015 by the Special Criminal Court, to answer a charge of misappropriation of the sum of one billion and 800 million CFA francs between 1998 and 2005 while he was still General Director of Taxes.
The said amount represents a sum he collected as reimbursement of Value-added tax (Vat) of about 1.118 billion, interest arising from a term deposit of the order of 53 million CFA francs and 600 million CFA francs representing an advance on term deposit.
