Limbe-Cameroon: House wife kills husband with acid to run away with boyfriend
The city of Limbe was struck with panic last week as one of theirs did the unbelievable. The Lady who goes by the name of Mercy and originates from the North West region poured acid on her husband in the morning hours of Wednesday while the husband, a popular refrigerator technician in the city was still asleep.
After quietly performing the act, Mercy was seen by neighbours rubbing red oil on her body. Neighbours immediately suspected foul play and decided to investigate why Mercy could be rubbing red oil on all her body on an early morning. This is when they discovered that the young refrigerator technician was battling between life and death. Efforts to rescue his life failed as he died on the way to Laquintinie hospital Douala.
According to the sister of the Victim, Mercy had boasted severally that she had countless boyfriends waiting to get married to her.
“The last time Mercy had a problem with my brother I came to talk to her to try and solve the problem with her husband but she bragged that she had better men waiting to do greater things for her than a miserable refrigerator repairer. Of late, Mercy came to my brother’s house and packed everything away and as if that was not enough, she came back and killed my brother” says the sister of the deceased.
As at now reasons for this type of cruel act are not clear as Mercy has not said anything regarding her action yet. In as much as everybody condemns her actions, they also say it is only the person who wears the shoe that knows where it pinches.
Some refer to the saying that goes: Marriage is a place besiege, those inside wish going out and those outside wish coming in”
