Limbe-Cameroon: Soldier kills tribesman in deadly brawl
A driver of a private high school in Limbe, OUMAROU, has been discovered dead lying on the veranda of a certain Clinton(Soldier) also known as ADAMOU. Accusing fingers are pointing at the soldier for being the architect of the act. The people of Espoire Neighborhood in Limbe have vowed to unveil the killer.
An uncle to the deceased reveals that the alleged murderer, Clinton, phoned him earlier asking him to come and pick up his nephew whom he had beaten. Upon arrival, he found OUMAROU lying dead in his own pool of blood.
The landlord of late driver has testify that both men who hail from same village, BABA I, in the Northwest region, have always been fighting , with the soldier threatening to take out life from the driver, “ I heard someone knocking at the door, calling on OUMAROU to come out and challenge him, I was surprised because they are village brothers and he often spend the night at the drivers house”, the landlord said.
Family members of the deceased say it is not the first time the alleged murderer has been beating the people.
The cause of the brutal killing many say could be out of anger, sources say OUMAROU linked the girl friend of Clinton to his superior as mistress, while other sources say it might be a village problem that has been transferred to town, there are reports how both men are strong supporters of two rival factions in BABA I, a village in Nguketunja Division of Northwest region, one is struggling to overthrow the Fon, while the other is in support of the Fon’s stay.
The forces of law and order in limbe have opened investigations on the matter.
