The producer of jingles for CRTV demands for payment of his royalties owed him for over 20 years
Isidore Modjo the producer of jingles for CRTV late this week demonstrated in front of the ministry of communication demanding for the payment of his royalties since 20 years.
Reports say Isidore Modjo staged a seat down protest in front of the ministry of communication in Yaounde Thursday demanding the payment of 1.8 billion FCFA as royalty CRTV owes him for the production of program jingles and other sounds for the states broadcaster.
According to sources, Modjo showed a letter from the PMs Office ordering immediate payment of 50million of the 1.8 billion by the minister of communication. This order was not however respected at the ministry of communication and Modjo has vowed to continue with his protest until his royalties are paid in full.
“To my greatest dismay I was asked by the minister of communication to receive just 10million FCFA but I refuse. The prime minister gave instruction on the 29 of March to pay my money for the jingles of the CRTV up till today nothing has been done. I want the decision of the prime minister to be executed as it is. If this is not done then I will be forced to continue with rebellion” says Mr. Monjo bitterly.
