Bamenda Water Dilemma
Relief among Bamenda city dwellers as water supply returns to normal after a nightmare that caused the inhabitants to go without water for weeks.The delegate of CAM WATER attributed the problem to a blockage of the outlet pipe by mud as it has been left uncleaned for a while.Experts were recuited to maintain and clean the water supply pipes.
Young Sports Draws with Coton Sport
Young Sports of Bamenda drew 1-1 with Coton Sport of Garoua yesterday. Cotton Sport in the meantime is gearing up for the finals of the Cup of Cameroon with Panthere du Nde.
Bamenda Kidney patients strike updates
Bamenda Regional Hospital officials in a press release announced that out of the 8 dialyses machines that were broken down, three have been repaired but still not adequate to provide screening services to all patients in need.The Director General noted that the problem with the machines not functioning on time was due to logistical delays with transportation of spare parts that were imported from France.
Boyfriend Issue
A young lady in Bamenda poured hot chilli pepper on another woman she suspected of having an affair with her boyfriend at commercial avenue two days ago.The victim was rushed to the Bamenda Regioanl Hospital while the suspect was apprehended and remanded in police custody.

Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique and Camair-Co GM Ernest Dikoum have appreciated the state of preparedness ahead of July 20, 2017 inaugural flight.
From the look of things, the Bamenda airport is virtually set to receive Camair-Co’s inaugural flight on July 20, 2017. The Director of the Airport’s management Cooporation (ADC), Angu Anyangwe Richard and the civil aviation team leader, Mukete Simon told the visiting Governor of the North West Region, Adolphe Lele Lafrique and the General Manager of Camair-Co, Ernest Dikoum on July 12, 2017 that the Control Tower is good for use and waiting for Camair-Co. They sounded off about the airport’s Firefighting Brigade with good and enough equipment.
Away at the metrological facility, Tamfu Julius introduced a new automatic weather station to ensure all round weather conditions to help things during landing and takeoff of flights. The runway featured some cracks and grass whose impact was minimized by the airport authorities who however, said repairs are on course to help matters. Authorities of the CDE Water Corporation committed to make water available as required while a standby generator is available to handle eventual blackouts. Security issues was the subject of an in-camera session with the Governor, the General Manager and concerned security hierarchy.
Impressed with the state of preparedness, Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique wished the dream of seeing Camair-Co planes in the skies of Bamenda to come true. He stated the commitment of the administration and security forces to accompany Camair-Co’s venture to give business a fresh push in the North West Region with flights that come to help matters for business people.
The General Manager of Camair-Co, Ernest Dikoum saluted fantastic conditions to help fly Camair-Co planes in Bamenda. He said it is the objective of the company to value investments to fly the home front by making air travel the easiest, most practicable and an inspiration for mobility and togetherness of Cameroonians.

The Minister of Public Health reveal it on 13 July in his ministerial department in front of the press in the framework of the promotion of family planning in Cameroon.This meeting, initiated by the Ministry of Public Health, took place in an international context marked by a high-level summit on family planning held in London, a summit in which Cameroon takes part.
Thus to avoid the maternal mortality in Cameroon due to the Too early pregnancies; Too close together; Too many and too late, the government is committed to ensuring contraceptive security by making available quality contraceptive products; Increase the funding of family planning in the national budget; Initiate community-based delivery of injectable methods in addition to pills and condoms; Increase access of young people to reproductive health/family planning services.
