Malawi Vice President's Aircraft Missing: Search Underway
Malawi's Vice President Saulos Klaus Chilima and nine others were aboard an aircraft that has gone missing, as announced by the country's presidency on Monday.
The aircraft, operated by the Malawi Defense Force, departed from the capital city of Lilongwe at 09:17 a.m. (0717 GMT) with the intended destination of Mzuzu International Airport, scheduled to arrive by 10:02 a.m.
Despite diligent efforts, aviation authorities have been unable to establish communication with the aircraft since it disappeared from radar. Search and rescue operations are currently underway to locate the missing plane and its occupants.
